It might surprise some of you to hear that I don’t believe you need to start a business to be an entrepreneur. Historically the term ‘entrepreneur’ is limited to those who have founded and invested in multiple businesses, but in my view this definition is too black and white. For me an entrepreneur is someone who takes ownership of their own life, and understands that they are creating their future – regardless of how that plays out day to day.
