I’m not usually one to look back, but this week I had a look through some of the last 199 episodes of #AskJackD with my team. We picked five of our favourites to share with you as a throwback today.

1: How do I focus on just one business idea? | #AskJackD 36
As entrepreneurs our biggest strength is that we love to pursue opportunity, however  this can also be our biggest weakness. Ultimately the less you do in terms of breadth the more you will do in terms of depth, which is why I suggest focusing on just one thing that will lead you to build a successful business.

2: Do we need to revolutionise all areas of education? | #AskJackD 42
Did you know universities are ranked and remunerated not according to their teaching, student feedback or actual student learning? They are ranked solely on the research they publish. Essentially, we have a $4.4 trillion industry and no one is looking at how to make the actual product better.

In this episode I talk about my favourite issue…the education system at large, and why it seriously needs to lift its game.

3: What are the biggest business myths? | #AskJackD 123
There are so many myths about running your own business. The overnight success… build it and they will come… the list goes on. Here I address what I think are the 5 biggest myths.

4: How can I manage a growing team? |#AskJackD 139
I get asked a lot how to build and lead a high performance team, so today in an extra long episode I am giving you my entire framework, from recruitment right through to induction, on how to build a world class culture centred on people uniting around a purpose for the sake of performance.

5: Is it ok to be a player on someone else’s team? | #AskJackD 172
I’m so happy someone asked this question. I’ve notice a lot of job shaming happening on social media – people who say the only way to lead a successful life is to be an entrepreneur.

As an entrepreneur myself, I actually don’t think this is true. Leading a successful life comes down to doing what feels right for you and what aligns to who you are. Every human is as unique as their fingerprint and how you choose to engage in your life and career should be as unique as you.

To celebrate reaching Episode 200 of #AskJackD and the serious momentum that’s been building we’ll be doing something we’ve never done before on the next episode of #AskJackD LIVE. The rest will be revealed on the night so tune in on Facebook at 8.30pm AEST to see the new direction I’m taking the live shows in.
